Last Grade Servant (LGS)

The lowest-qualification PSC entry — your shortest route to a permanent government job.

Eligibility

Class 7 pass (some posts require SSLC), age 18–36 with standard relaxations.

Exam pattern

100 questions, 75 minutes. Lighter weighting on maths/reasoning. Big focus on Malayalam + Kerala GK + basic English.

Salary band

Entry pay ~₹23,000–50,200 (Kerala state pay revision).

Realistic prep horizon

4–12 months. Less subject load than LDC.
