Delete Your Account

You can request deletion of your Kerala PSC Prep account and all associated personal data at any time. We respect your right to be forgotten and will process the request within 30 days.

What gets deleted

• Your email address
• Your display name
• All quiz scores and mock-test attempts
• List of mocks you have unlocked or earned
• Your account creation date and last activity timestamps
• Any preferences or settings stored in your user profile

What is retained (and why)

If you have made a payment, the payment record itself (Razorpay payment ID, amount, date) is retained for 7 years to comply with Indian tax law and accounting regulations. This data is held by Razorpay, our payment processor, not by Kerala PSC Prep directly. We retain only the minimum required reference to link your past payment to your now-deleted account record. No payment-card or bank details are ever stored — those have always been handled solely by Razorpay.

How to request deletion

Option 1 — Email request (recommended)

Send an email from the address associated with your account to:

Subject line: Delete my account

You don't need to include any other information — sending the request from your registered email is sufficient verification. We will reply within 3 business days confirming receipt and within 30 days confirming deletion is complete.

Option 2 — In-app (if signed in)

Sign in to the app, go to your My Scores page, scroll to the bottom, and use the "Delete my account" link. (If you're reading this and don't see the link, please use Option 1 — we are progressively rolling out the in-app option.)

Timeline

• Within 3 business days: we acknowledge receipt of your request
• Within 30 days: your account is fully deleted from our database (Firebase) and confirmation is sent
• Up to 90 days: backups containing your data may persist on our cloud provider's infrastructure but are not accessible to us and are automatically purged on the standard backup retention schedule

What if I change my mind?

Once deletion is complete, your data cannot be restored. If you signed in via Google, you can simply create a new account using the same email — but your previous quiz history and unlocked mocks will not be available.

What if I have an active premium subscription?

Your premium access is tied to your account. Deleting your account effectively cancels access. We do not pro-rate refunds for the unused portion of premium access — this is consistent with our standard refund policy. If you want a refund instead of a deletion, please email us first to discuss.
